National Service Scheme

The Government of India declared 12" January as the *National Youth Day" on the occasion
of birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda Ji. This day is celebrated as National Youth Day" in India every
year since 1985. Swami Vivekananda Ji was Youth icon, source of energy and inspiration to all. National Youth
Day brings the message of Universal brotherhood and peace in the world, his great teaching have mesmerized
the whole world and motivated to the youth to serve the humanity.
In this regard, The Chandigarh NSS Cell, Education Department, Chandigarh Administration in
collaboration with Department of Transfusion Medicine, PGIMER, Sector-12, UT, Chandigarh will organize
Blood Donation Camp on 9h January, 2025 as celebration of National Youth Day" on the occasion of birth
anniversary of Swamí Vivekananda Ji at Ground Floor, Additional Deluxe Building, UT Secretariat, Sector-9
D, Chandigarh from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
It is therefore, requested to depute 30 NSS Volunteers (Blood Donor) alongwith all NSS Programme
Officer from your respective institution for the above said programme on date, time & venue.
